The Partnership has established the Real Estate Recycling Team to develop innovative approaches to the reuse of industrial land within the region.  This initiative will convert old unsightly and contaminated industrial properties into new, high-quality aesthetically pleasing industrial space that will accommodate the companies of the new economy and improve neighborhoods.  The team comprised of developers, bankers, local government, and the California Center for Land Recycling, provides technical assistance on Brownfield issues to cities in the region.

The term 'brownfield site' means real property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.
