The Gateway Cities Partnership is pleased to announce that
we have established, in partnership with the Oldtimers Foundation and
Watts Century Latino Organization, a computerized training center in
Huntington Park. Our facility is located at the Family Center a local
community based organization, operated by our partners the Oldtimers.
At the training facility we offer a free entry-level training program in international
trade logistics, also known as global logistics to the residents of the HUB Cities
(Huntington Park, Maywood, Bell, Bell Gardens, Cudahy, Lynwood, and South Gate).
The training program is six weeks and is offered in the evening.
The GLE training program offers broad contextual and practical training for new
entrants to the industry. The program will provide a thorough grounding in the
supply chain including documentation, operations, and customer service and information
management. In addition, the participants receive training in a key industry
software. The training will be done in teams with both team and individual benchmark
requirements. Graduates who meet all the requirements receive certification through
the Center for International Trade and Transportation at California State University,
Long Beach http://www.uces.csulb.edu/citt/.
The next class will begin January 20th. Classes are Monday-Thursday 5:30-9:30pm. Space is still available. For an application please
click and fax to (562) 817–0826 attention Marcia Guzman.
The address to the training facility is 3355 East Gage Ave Huntington Park, CA
